Who we are

TeamWorks Initiative is a community based internship program serving Salem, Keizer, and the Willamette Valley region of Oregon. We connect college students with organizations in youth sports, nonprofits, civic programs, and community media.

Our legal entity

TeamWorks Initiative is a registered assumed business name, also called a DBA, of Raymond D. White, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. Both names refer to the same organization.

In this policy, "TeamWorks", "we", "us", and "our" mean TeamWorks Initiative, a DBA of Raymond D. White, LLC. "You" means anyone who visits our website, fills out a form, or communicates with us.

Information we collect

We only collect information you give us directly. We do not buy contact lists and we do not scrape your data from other places.

Information you give us

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your school, university, or program, and your field of study, if you are a student
  • Your organization name and your role, if you represent a host organization
  • Your areas of interest, availability, and any notes you send us
  • How you heard about TeamWorks

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we collect basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and time on site. We use it to understand what works on our site. We do not use it to identify you personally.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions
  • Match students with host organizations
  • Schedule and confirm calls, interviews, and appointments
  • Send updates about your placement or your organization's participation
  • Send occasional news about TeamWorks programs
  • Improve how our program and website work
We do not sell your information

TeamWorks does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone else.

Text messaging

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, here is exactly what that means.

Our SMS policy in plain terms

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All exceptions listed in this policy about sharing information specifically exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent. That information is never shared with anyone.

Who is texting you. Messages come from TeamWorks Initiative, a DBA of Raymond D. White, LLC.

What we send. Application status, placement updates, appointment confirmations and reminders, and occasional program news.

How often. Message frequency varies. Most people receive a few messages per month.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. TeamWorks does not charge you for text messages.

To stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting you. You get one confirmation and nothing after that.

For help. Reply HELP or email [email protected].

Opting out of texts does not remove you from the program. We will still reach you by email or phone.

You give consent to receive text messages by checking the consent box on our interest form. We do not add anyone to text messaging without that consent. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of applying to or participating in TeamWorks.

When we share information

  • With host organizations. If we match you with a partner organization, we share what that organization needs to work with you, such as your name, contact details, availability, and interests.
  • With service providers. We use outside tools to run our website, send email, manage scheduling, and keep records. They only handle your information to do work for us and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • When the law requires it. If we are legally required to produce information, we will.

As stated above, text messaging opt in data and consent are excluded from all of these situations and are never shared with third parties.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Our website uses encryption. Access to records is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever have a breach that affects your information, we will tell you.

How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as we need it to run the program and meet record keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete it, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

  • See it. Ask what we have about you and we will tell you.
  • Correct it. If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
  • Delete it. Ask us to remove your information, subject to any legal requirement to keep it.
  • Stop emails. Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
  • Stop texts. Reply STOP to any message.

Students under 18

TeamWorks internships are for college students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a participant is under 18, we collect parent or guardian contact information and communicate with them as well. If you believe a child gave us information without permission, contact us and we will remove it.

Other websites

Our site links to partner organizations and outside tools. Once you leave our site this policy no longer applies. Read their policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell you directly.
