Last updated: August 12, 2026

Agreeing to these terms

By using the TeamWorks Initiative website, submitting our interest form, or taking part in a TeamWorks program, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the program.

Our legal entity

TeamWorks Initiative is a registered assumed business name, also called a DBA, of Raymond D. White, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. Both names refer to the same organization.

In these terms, "TeamWorks", "we", "us", and "our" mean TeamWorks Initiative, a DBA of Raymond D. White, LLC. "You" means you.

What TeamWorks does

TeamWorks is a community based internship program serving Salem, Keizer, and the Willamette Valley in Oregon. We connect college students with host organizations in youth sports, nonprofits, civic programs, and community media. We design and coordinate placements, provide coaching, and support both sides through the internship.

What TeamWorks is not

TeamWorks is not an employment agency and we are not your employer. We do not guarantee a placement, a paid position, academic credit, or a job at the end of an internship. Host organizations make their own decisions about who they accept.

Who can use this site

You must be at least 13 to use this website. Internship placements are for enrolled college students. If you are under 18 and take part in a TeamWorks program, we require a parent or guardian to be involved and to provide contact information.

Applying and taking part

If you are a student

  • Give us accurate and complete information. If your situation changes, tell us.
  • Placement is not guaranteed. Matching depends on your interests, availability, and host organization needs.
  • If placed, you agree to follow the TeamWorks Intern Code of Conduct and the rules of your host organization.
  • Internships run about 10 weeks at 8 to 10 hours per week. Your exact schedule is set with your host organization.
  • Unless your placement agreement says otherwise in writing, internships are unpaid and do not automatically carry academic credit. Credit is between you and your school.

If you are a host organization

  • Give interns real work tied to real goals. Not busy work.
  • Provide a supervisor who will meet with the intern each week.
  • Provide a safe environment and follow all applicable employment, safety, and volunteer laws.
  • You are responsible for how you supervise and direct interns at your site.

If you support us

Contributions to TeamWorks are used to support program costs and student placements. We will tell you how contributions are used. Contact us for current information about tax treatment of any contribution before you rely on it.

Ending a placement

TeamWorks, a host organization, or an intern may end a placement early. If that happens, we ask that everyone communicate clearly and promptly so we can support both sides and try to find a better fit where possible.

We may remove anyone from a TeamWorks program who behaves in a way that puts other people at risk, breaks the law, or repeatedly ignores the Code of Conduct.

Communications and text messaging

When you give us your contact information, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry, your application, and your placement by email, phone, and text message.
